Dr. Belal Hegazy is a Board-Certified Adult Psychiatrist based in Michigan with nearly two decades of clinical experience. He completed his psychiatry residency at the New Medical College program at Metropolitan Hospital in New York City, where he also served as Chief Resident. He went on to further specialize in addiction psychiatry through a fellowship at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine.
With a comprehensive and empathetic approach to care, Dr. Hegazy is deeply committed to understanding each individual beyond their symptoms. He believes that taking the time to truly know his patients—considering all facets of their life experience—leads to more effective, personalized treatment. His philosophy centers on seeing the full picture to better support lasting recovery and mental wellness.
Dr. Hegazy’s clinical expertise spans a wide range of psychiatric and substance use conditions, including mood and anxiety disorders, PTSD, ADHD, personality disorders, and dual diagnosis. He also integrates evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy into his work.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Hegazy enjoys staying active through jogging and cycling, and he finds inspiration in travel and reading.
